The Philips Xenium 9@9 , is meant for the user who wants a basic cell phone without any fancy functions whatsoever. The heavy duty battery allows the user to do just the, chat away without a concern. Since there are no battery draining functions or accessories such as a color display or digital camera it seems that the battery goes on forever. Truth being that the Xenium is powered by a standard Li-Ion battery with a company claimed standby of 750 hours with a talk time of 7 hours and 30 minutes. This handset which weighs a mere 93 gms has a monochrome display which has a size of 101 x 80 pixels and can show up to 8 lines of text. The display has a white backlight which makes it easy to read the text / display even during complete darkness at the same time unlike other displays which become difficult to read in direct sunlight, the Xenium behaves nicely and avoids inconvenience to the user.
For better network connectivity the Philips Xenium 9@9 supports for Dual-band GSM 900/ GSM 1800 MHz. For data transfer it does supports connectivity WAP browser.
